Our Beginning
Our love story began in the most unexpected yet beautiful way in 2018, when a South Texas guy from the RGV came to visit the beloved Louisiana campgrounds for our yearly campmeeting. At first, neither of us was really sure how the other felt. Several of our close friends would encourage us to get to know each other more, but we remained good friends from a distance for years.
As time passed, God continued to allow our paths to cross again and again until we finally reunited where it all began — on the campgrounds in 2024. A couple months later, after Raz came to visit, we were convinced that there was absolutely no doubt in either of our hearts that we were meant to be together. We both realized the beauty of God’s hand guiding our story all along, and we became completely fascinated with one another.
On November 1st, 2024, we officially became a couple — and truly felt like the happiest people on the planet. After countless texts, long phone calls, FaceTimes about every little detail of our days, special visits to our hometowns and endless moments filled with joy and laughter, we continued falling more and more in love.
The Proposal
Fast forward to April 12th, 2026: What we thought was simply a dressed-up dinner date quickly became one of the most unforgettable nights of our lives. Raz had planned for us to stop by a coffee pop-up event before dinner at the beautiful NOPSI Hotel in downtown New Orleans — very fitting for the coffee lover he is.
As we arrived at the rooftop, we were met with the most beautiful proposal setup, a photographer waiting to capture the moment, and a breathtaking view of the city skyline. In that moment, everything felt perfectly intentional, and saying “yes” was the easiest decision ever. The perfect beginning to our forever.
Why We’re Excited for Forever
Though many may never fully understand the challenges of loving your other half from hours and hours away, we were completely convinced and committed to one another from the start. No distance ever felt too far when it came to building a future together. We’ve had the time of our lives anxiously awaiting our long weekends together — traveling back and forth to see one another, spending quality time with family and the people closest to us, trying new restaurants, checking off stops on our coffee passport, and continuing to learn more about each other along the way. Even through the difficulty, the distance only made us value our time together more deeply.
Long distance has required a lot of work, patience, and sacrifice but we wouldn’t trade any of it for the world if it meant knowing that one day, we would finally get to build a life together side by side.
We are so grateful for every person who has supported us, prayed for us, and celebrated alongside us throughout this journey. Thank you for being part of our story and for joining us as we begin this new chapter as husband and wife.
With love,
Raziel & Noheli
